Thank you, Kath, for a lovely few days in your home. Echoing what a previous guest said, the en-suite room was really comfortable and the view from the breakfast room is fantastic. The breakfasts were superb, really tasty and plenty of it. Kath is very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very at home. We will definitely be back.

For almost 20 years of long-distance walking, and after doing The Dales Way four times, my walking pal, Martyn Dale, and me happened across High Roans through scouring the web for an ensuite twin room in Sedbergh and we are extremely glad we did! One week a year our respective wives’ allow us time-off for good (or indifferent) behaviour and we do a weeks’ walking, mostly around The Dale’s. Having done so many walks and stayed at some terrific B&B’s, and some dire B&B’s too, we’ve become rather expert at the standard of accommodation and the all-important breakfast. We can honestly say without any hesitation that High Roans has one of the most cleanliest B&B’s we’ve ever encountered, but, High Roans has most certainly the very best breakfast we’ve EVER been given! The quality, cleanliness (no oils or fats), quantity, presentation and flavour is second to none and I would very highly, without a second thought, recommend staying at High Roans as you’ll be treated with every courtesy and friendliness as anyone could ever wish to receive. Thank you, Kath, we’ll be back again!

A lovely welcome, thanks for looking after us so well. Very comfy room and spotlessly clean We enjoyed our stay in Sedbergh and were so pleased to get to the top of Winder (just as our Dad's had done as boys at Sedbergh school. Clare & Jon Beckett and Harry Leather from Australia

We & our motorcycles(garaged)were made very welcome by Kath.Our rooms were bright & spotless, with a brilliant shower.We also enjoyed Kaths hearty home cooking.Kath has a good knowledge of the The Dales/Lakes,which helped us plan our routes/places to see & Tea Rooms !!.Ths is the first time ive wanted to praise a B&B. We used High Roans as a stopping-off point for our visit to Northumberland. Although we were there for just one night, Kath made us very welcome; nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet -- just what you need for an overnight stop. And the breakfasts were superb. Definitely a b&b to recommend.
